NL MUSIC REVIEW

Everybody Google Dbanj, It’s Not A Lie — Harry Song Hook on the Song!  Well First Listen HERE just in case you have not
Do we really need to Google Dbanj? Eja NLA himself is a legend, importer, exporter and Koko master like no other. His achievements in the industry is second to none and of course he still stands as one of the icon every artistes look up to in the industry.
For a fact, the idea of Wizkid and Davido of today going international must have been inspired by Dbanj. No doubt all lovers of good music loves Dbanj but then we really did not need him to come and give us a history of himself at this time.
After a while off the music scene, Dbanj’s decision to stage a come back with a song that sounds like a presentation of his CV is what I will describe as a very wrong move from the Kokomaster. We know Dbanj and we are all already aware of his achievements, so we don’t need to Google Dbanj. Abi na lie?
It’s definitely not a lie!
Now, Let’s talk about the song itself;
With all sincerity, the song is a reflection of the fact that Dbanj has lost the amazing lyrical prowess he used to possess. His opening verse came out odd considering the general arrangement of the song while his own part in the body of the song is very short and dry.
Dbanj’s lyrical effort on the song is far below expectation, no wonder he hired two best Nigerian vocalist and songwriters to work with. While Wande Coal did his best with his great vocals and pretty cool lyrics, Harrysong saved the song with a mad hook as well as dope verse. Harrysong is indeed a song-saver 👏👏👏
Meanwhile, with all the pre-release hype that King Dbanj is coming back with bigger hit, it is quite disappointing to discover that Dbanj himself is a major flop on the song while HarrySong and Wande Coal took the whole shine.
The question now is,
What has gone wrong Dbanj?
Does he need a Don Jazzy to bounce back bigger and better?
Should he go back to the drawing board , work on himself and try again? Or
He should kuku quit music and focus on his Koko Garri business?
Anyway, I will rate the song 5 on the scale of 10.
What do you guys think;
Is The Song It’s Not A Lie A Good Come Back For D’Banj or A Try Again Later Shii?
Let’s hear from you!
