EFCC INVITE OBANIKORO SONS FOR INTERROGATION

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has written to formally invite the sons of a former minister of state for defence, Musiliu Obanikoro for interrogation.

The letters of invitation to Babajide and Gbolahan Obanikoro, came barely 3 days after the anti-graft outfit raided and took possession of the properties owned by the Obanikoros in Ikoyi.

The letter, which was signed by Kanu Idagu on behalf of the acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, and addressed to the duo read:-

Mr Musiliu Obanikoro and Sons; Jide and Gbolahan

“This commission is investigating a case in which your name featured prominently.

“In view of the above, you’re requested to kindly report for an interview with the undersigned.”

The brothers are expected to appear before Hamza Abdulahi, an EFCC investigator, on June 22, 2016, by 10:00 a.m. at 30A Harper Crescent, Zone 7, Abuja.

It would be recalled on Thursday, about 20 officials of the EFCC, stormed their premises situated at 10 Mojisola Onikoyi Street, by Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos and took away several items.

It is also gathered that operatives raided Mr. Obanikoro’s property in Abuja on Thursday and Friday.
